Assessment Policy

1. Pre- Primary:

No formal examinations will be held for these classes. The school will follow a system of assessment through checklist of assignments and observational activities in order to develop a sense of curiosity and the desire to explore.

2. Grade I and II:

Besides a system of assessment through assignments and observational activities, there will be on cycle of one Periodic Test in each term of marks 20 followed by term I examinations. Overall Result will include 2 periodic test and 2 term examinations of 60 marks each.

Internal assessment includes reading, Creative writing, recitation, comprehension, Mental Math, general awareness, Map reading

3. Grade III to VIII:

Besides a system of assessment through assignments and observational activities, there will be on cycle of one Periodic Test in each term of marks 25 followed by term examinations. Overall Result will include 2 periodic test and 2 term examinations of 80 marks each.

Internal assessment includes reading, Creative writing, recitation, comprehension, Mental Math, general awareness, Map reading, PBL etc.

4. Grade VI – VIII

As per the new assessment policy by CBSE, the school will be following the pattern of uniform assessment. Details of which are as follows:

Co-Scholastic:

The students will be assessed in the following areas by the teacher and will be graded term wise on a 5-point grading scale (A-E). the aspect of regularity, sincere participation, output and teamwork will be the generic criteria for grading in the following co-scholastic activities.

  • Work Education: It refers to skill-based activities to inculcate the sense of social responsibilities among the students.
  • Art education (Visual Performing Arts)
  •  Health and Physical education (Sports/Yoga etc.)
